Comprehensive Women’s Healthcare in Bend, Oregon

Caldera Family Medicine’s comprehensive women’s healthcare includes annual well-women exams, pap smears, cervical cancer screening, contraceptive counseling, and more.
In addition, we provide in-office procedures, such as IUD and Nexplanon placement. And, as part of our community partnerships, we can order your mammograms and colon cancer screening.
Annual Well-Women Exams
An annual exam is an important part of ongoing, preventative health. During this yearly physical, we gather your medical history, conduct a thorough physical examination that includes vitals, reflexes, and overall health, and order lab tests as needed. For women, this exam also includes a gynecological exam, including a pap smear, pelvic check, and breast examination.
During this appointment, we also provide any immunizations needed and listen to patient concerns. Moreover, this is a great time for our providers to get the big-picture of your health. As a follow-up, our clinic is well-versed in caring for common chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, asthma, anxiety, depression, and more.
Lab Services
Our Medical Assistants are skilled phlebotomists, and we are proud to offer the added convenience of on-site blood work for patients. We can perform Rapid Strep, Mononucleosis, Urine Pregnancy, and Hemoglobin A1C testing in office, with results in as little as five minutes.
Gynecological Services
Regular gynecological check-ups are an important component of female wellness. These preventative and diagnostic health exams provide an opportunity to monitor or treat any conditions and maintain optimal health. CFM’s gynecological services include pap smears, human papillomavirus (HPV) screening, screening and/or treatment of STDs, breast examinations, menstrual issues, fertility evaluation, menopause management, and contraceptive counseling.
Our clinic also diagnoses and treats gynecological disorders and infections, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), ovarian cysts, yeast infections, and urinary tract infections.
Contraception
As part of our comprehensive women’s healthcare, we offer contraceptive counseling to patients. We offer various birth control options, including intrauterine devices (IUDs) like Mirena and Paragard and implants like Nexplanon. Our knowledgeable providers offer wise counsel in a trusted, safe environment.
Pap Smears
A pap smear is a small, in-office procedure during which a medical practitioner gently removes cells from the cervix area to check for cervical cancer, cell changes that may lead to cancer, inflammation, or other infections.
